Rembering Ralph Brennan

Starting with today's game you will notice the team wearing patches to honor Ralph Brennan. As many of you know Coach Brennan took great pride in the Danielson American Legion Baseball Program. It was always a pleasure to see him at our games. Whenever Coach Brennan was there it always made you play a little harder and coach a little better knowing the man who started the tradition of Danielson American Legion Baseball was there. Coach Brennan will truly be missed by the Danielson American Legion Baseball Program but he will never be forgotten as we know he will always be watching us now.

  1. Coach Brennan was an inspiration to this program. He lived Green and Gold. RB (Ralph Brennan)will be truly missed by everyone that knew him and this great program. To see him grab his seat behind home plate every game to watch Danielson Baseball and even at times to see his son umpire was something I looked forward to every game. When I was bat boy 12 years ago, he was there. When I finally got my chance to put my uniform on and cross those white lines onto the playing field, it was great to see him there, cheering us on, making me want to do my best, play my hardest all because he was there. He knew this program, he lived it. Finally my playing years ended and I got my time to coach. Everytime I put my uniform on made me want to coach my best knowing Im working my way up to where RB was as a coach. He was at the top. He knew the game of baseball. RB fault his battle, through all he went through he made his best effort no matter what to be at that game. If he wasnt able to he sent a little message with his son, Sean. To see Sean take his brush before every game that he was umpiring and carve RB behind the plate always sent a rush through my body. When Coach Krot framed Coach Brennans jersey and presented him with it meant a lot. To see Ralphs face one last time recieiving that jersey is to die for. His face showed how much Danielson American Legion Baseball meant to him. RB was known and will always be known throughout this progam. We all know Coach Brennan will be watching down on us. We will all miss you Coach Ralph Brennan.
